Check out the FAQ section below or contact us.
Can I bring my child to sessions?
The type of consultations provided is designed to work with parents directly.
Can I use parent consultation time if my child or myself are in crisis?
Parent consultations are not for dealing with emergencies or a family crisis. Instead, it's about helping you find support before things get worse. For mental health emergencies, call 9-1-1 or go to the nearest emergency room.
How are consultations different than therapy?
Consultations provide support in finding services and solution-focused support on specific issues. It is focused on present problems and solutions for the future. Therapy addresses mental health concerns and may focus on exploring present emotions regarding past events, and typically addresses symptoms related to a mental health diagnosis. If it's determined that you or your child would benefit from therapy, we can offer you referrals to therapists in your area.
What is the commitment?
The cost of this 30-minute virtual or phone session is $50. There's no obligation or pressure to schedule future appointments. If we decide to meet again, then you can schedule future sessions. Payment is due at the time of session booking. Fees are non-refundable.
Can I use insurance for parent consultations?
Parent consultations are typically not covered by insurance. Check with your insurance provider for more information.

Potentially. Every plan is different, so you would need to ask your provider directly. If you have an HSA, check with your provider to confirm if your HSA account can cover coaching costs.
