Rose believes children often face unique challenges and problems. For some, these challenges stem from a biological or psychological problem. For others, they simply need help during a difficult time or transition in their young life. Still others just need a little extra help developing everyday life skills. Rose provides a safe place for children and adolescents to address problems. She involves them in the goal-setting process, and allows them time in therapy to become comfortable with their therapist, the process, and with actively addressing their problems. Family and/or school consultations are central to her practice.
Rose is ready to meet each individual's needs. She primarily utilizes cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and interpersonal psychotherapy treatment techniques as well as trauma-focused CBT. You can expect her therapeutic style to be warm, empathetic and person-centered.
